Shield
Ultramarine blue is associated with Aviation units. Blue is symbolic of devotion, loyalty and truth and recalls the sky, the unit's theater of operations. The winged pheon represents attack capabilities, swiftness and sureness in flight of aircraft. The wings reaching upward, allude to the mobility of an attack helicopter. The black and white of the radiating bordure symbolize night and day operations, the fraternity of the unit's members and suggest the whirling blades of a helicopter.

The crest is that of the Nevada Army National Guard.
